It’s that time of year again! Holiday shoppers have taken over the world and there is a definite chill in the air. Order a cake today as a special gift and avoid the crowded superstores and mall parking lots. Or just keep it for yourself! Sure you can’t snuggle next to the fire with one of our cakes, but eating one will still give you that warm and fuzzy feeling.
After skipping Thanksgiving due to a side trip to Tokyo and Hong Kong, I am extremely excited about our holiday designs. Choose from ornament cupcakes, edible sugar poinsettias, snowmen toppers, present cakes, or create your own custom design.

Big Apple
Last week, I had the opportunity to travel to New York City and study with Elisa Strauss. Strauss is the owner of Confetti Cakes, and one of the most talented and creative cake designers today. After working with her last June, I took the opportunity to brush up on my decorating skills and learn new techniques. With her guidance, I was able to replicate her handbag cake design. I hope to be able to take her tips and advice to create my own signature version. Stay tuned for pictures of more handbag cakes to come soon!!

Big News for The Frosted Cake Shop!
As some of you know, I had the opportunity to study in New York with Elisa Strauss, owner of Confetti Cakes. As one of the top pastry chefs in the country, Elisa just might be my cake idol. With her second book to be released this month, I feel so lucky to be able to squeeze some time in for another lesson. I will be granted with another amazing opportunity to work with her in her NYC kitchen this week. Stayed tuned to see what we do!!!
